You have two options when it comes to the structure of your cabinets: framed and frameless. Framed cabinets use doors that are attached to a box and face frame and are extremely sturdy for this reason. Frameless cabinets have a more modern style and skip the box and face frame but rigidity is compromised in this style. A great way to have the best of both worlds if you want a frameless style is to choose a framed style with a full overlay door that will cover the face frame. Note - there are three categories of cabinets you may choose from: stock, semi-custom, and custom cabinets. As a general rule of thumb, stock cabinets are going to be your cheapest option, semi-custom is going to increase your price range, and custom cabinets are going to cost you the most money (but are well worth the investment).
